Emma Watson reportedly bullied at Brown. Can't she take a 'Harry Potter' joke?

Maybe Emma Watson has more in common with Hermione Granger than we thought.

The Daily Mail rumor mill has it that the "Harry Potter" star, who left Brown University in order to continue acting, may have been victim to some good old fashioned bullying. Reportedly, Watson was often subjected to snarky remarks from classmates, particularly while answering questions during lectures.

"They would respond with a quote from 'Harry Potter,'" a source says. "The most popular choice was, 'Three points for Gryffindor!'"

Watson was studying European women's history and drama at the Ivy league school and plans to continue her education.

"I will still be working towards my degree... It's just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought," she wrote on her website after announcing a hiatus from school. "As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I've had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible."

A rep for the actress has yet to comment on the reports.

Bullying is no laughing matter, but after earning such a substantial chunk of change and jump starting her career as an actress -- we'd think the girl could handle a few "HP" jokes in stride.

In all fairness, she probably did receive a large amount of Hermione comments, but we seriously doubt that's what pushed her to leave. At least, we hope it wasn't.
