1. “Nine 1/2 Weeks” There are so many famous movie love scenes here it’s hard to keep track of them all, but the initial encounter between Kim Bassinger and Mickey Rourke, who mutually agree to carry on an anonymous, slightly dominant-submissive relationship still ranks as one of the best of its time.
2. “The Hunger” One of the highlights of any list about famous movie love scenes is this one, featuring a bisexual vampire (Catherine Deneuve) seducing her next victim, a young scientist (Susan Sarandon) who may hold the key to Deneuve’s immortality. Her seduction of Saradon is both very hot and surprisingly graphic considering what censors were allowing on the screen.
3. “Body Heat” Probably the only thing this flick is known for anymore is its famous movie love scene. After teasing John Hurt’s character incessantly, he can’t take any more and he bursts into Kathleen Turner’s house and ravages her body as she continues to egg him on into what turn out to be disastrous consequences.
4. “Titanic” The famous movie love scene in the chick flick between Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio that climaxed with Winslet’s sweaty palm running down the glass window of a car said more about the couple’s attraction than any of the scenes that preceded it.
5. “Showgirls” Considered by critics and fans alike as one of the most famous movie love scenes, but for all the wrong reasons. The writer, director and star saw their respective careers virtually destroyed after the film’s release. Now considered a cult classic for it's-so-bad-it's-good premise, it features a love scene between stars Elizabeth Berkley and Kyle MacLachlan so unintentionally campy, even porn stars laugh when they watch it.
6. “Last Tango in Paris” Some say this film represents the best of Marlon Brando (ironic considering Brando said it was one of his worst). In the film, Brando stars as a widower who takes up with a much younger woman in an anonymous sexual affair. For years, rumors surrounded the production that the famous movie love scenes were real, particularly Brando’s use of butter as an anal lube.
7. “A History of Violence” There are not one, but two famous movie love scenes here. The first shows Maria Bello dressed as a cheerleader blowing her on-screen husband, Viggo Mortensen, while he goes down on her. The second was a much rougher scene as Bello discovers the secrets Mortensen has been hiding and their love scene is more aggressive.
8. “Black Swan” Stars Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman had the most famous movie love scene when this movie came out in 2010. Their passionate makeout session, coupled with some, shall we say, more intimate kissing down below (while Portman’s character’s mom was just outside), really lit up the screen and had tongues wagging for movie-goers nationwide.
9. “Hot Tub Time Machine” It was short, sweet and to the point, but the famous movie love scene featuring Jessica Pare left its mark. While Pare had never done a nude or love scene before in movies, she changed her mind for this 2010 comedy in which she rides Craig Robinson in a hot tub and let her 34 DDs fly.
10. “Unfaithful” Diane Lane plays a married woman whose affair with a much younger man (Oliver Martinez) winds up turning into sexual obsession. In one of the most famous movie love scenes in recent years, she attempts to end the affair, storms out of his apartment only to be overcome by her lust as he follows her to the staircase and virtually tears her clothes off as she’s practically panting with desire.
