Nepalese Students and Oklahoma State University

A special relationship exists between the tiny mountain Kingdom of Nepal and Oklahoma State University. No one knows exactly how it all started, but we believe that many years ago a Nepali student returned home well satisfied with the educational experience at OSU. Slowly, by word of mouth and over many years, the number of Nepali students on the OSU campus increased. Today they number over 50 strong, and counting family members reach almost 90 people. Considering the remote location and small size of Nepal, this is quite a strong representation on the Oklahoma State University campus. Nepalese Student Association members are known for both their scholarship and sportsmanship. They are active in many campus organizations and pursue a wide variety of majors. Throughout the year, they celebrate all major Nepali festivals with food and fellowship (they celebrate most American holidays as well). Dr. David Henneberry serves as the advisor of the Nepalese Student Association.
