Wimbledon Master Roger Federer Looks to Tie All-Time Record at 2011 Wimbledon

After winning five Wimbledon championships in a row, it seemed as though Roger Federer was poised to take hold of Pete Sampras' Wimbledon record.

Unfortunately for Federer, Rafael Nadal isn't exclusively a master of clay. Nadal has won the tournament two of the last three years. The other victory belonged to Federer in 2009.

Federer comes into this tournament as the No. 3 seed. He's dominated over the last decade, and is considered by many to have the best chance of keeping Nadal from repeating his 2010 performance.

Federer currently has six Wimbledon championships to his name. Odds are that before his career is up, he's going to bring home at least one more trophy.

He's not exactly exuding dominance in early rounds, but Federer has to like his chances of tying Sampras' record this year.
